How do VpCI’s work?

VpCI’s condition enclosed air with trace amounts of inhibiting material. Protective vapours disseminate in the enclosed space through vaporisation. The inhibiting process begins when the vapours are ionically attracted to metal surfaces and condense to form a thin protective layer one or two molecules thick. Here the vapour dissolves to form a protective film between the moisture layer and the metal surface. This layer re-heals and replenishes by further condensation of the vapour.

Advantages:

  • VpCI vapours re-heal and self-replenish themselves
  • More cost effective protection
  • Efficient delivery systems make it economical to protect hard-to-protect items
  • Easy to apply
  • No need to remove VpCI protection before using product in many cases -Extends equipment life -Vapour phase inhibitor’s action protects inaccessible and recessed surfaces
  • VpCI layer does not interfere with operation of mechanical components -Does not contain nitrites, silicones. phosphates or heavy metals
  • VpCI’s are self-replenishing to provide continuous protection if package is disturbed by opening
  • No spraying, wiping. dipping or surface preparation required
  • Available in multiple-forms for each unique application
  • Multi-metal protection
